Whether you’re in for a thrilling scare or some more tame, family-oriented fun, there are attractions for everyone to enjoy this month. Walk or drive through elaborate haunted houses, see thousands of impressive Jack-o-Lanterns, and more.

Here are 12 month-long events to get you in the spirit of “spooky season” this year.

BAYVILLE SCREAM PARK

BLAZE LONG ISLAND

CHAMBERS OF HELL

DARKSIDE HAUNTED HOUSE

DARKNESS RISING 

Experience two very-scary attractions back-to-back at this haunted house destination. Then, grab a bite to eat, take photos, and browse the gift shop on site. 800 Chettic Ave, Copiague, darknessrising.org. $35. Through Oct. 31.

GATEWAY’S HAUNTED PLAYHOUSE

HALLOWEEN HOUSE LONG ISLAND

RESTLESS SOULS

This haunted house complex celebrates its 10th anniversary with its very best live actors, lighting, audio, sets, and animatronics for a truly spooky, interactive experience. SCHMITT’S FARM HAUNT

SPOOKY FEST

Families can enjoy both scary and non-scary Halloween fun at the Center for Science, Teaching, and Learning’s Spooky Fest. SPOOKY WALK

TUNNEL OF TERROR
