lloyd harbor

The Grand Dame of Lloyd Harbor, a historic Victorian house originally built in 1864, is listed for sale in Lloyd Harbor.

Located at 381 West Neck Rd., the home sits on two sprawling acres of land in close driving distance to local beaches and parks.

The house was built by Charles Homer Davis, a ship captain in the late 19th century, over the span of nine years. It has since been carefully restored to preserve its fine Victorian architecture.

The home’s interior is part-rustic and part-majestic. There are modern features mixed with fine, elegant details throughout. Some notable features include the handcrafted plaster moldings, seven fireplaces with original carved marble and wood mantles, restored birch and walnut wood floors.

The exterior boasts a large wrap-around porch, an inground pool, a large barn/garage structure, and horse stalls and paddock.

The home has six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and one half bathroom, as well as a full, unfinished basement with Bilco doors. The property is located in the Cold Spring Harbor School District.

The asking price is $2,795,000, not including the annual property tax of $26,000.

The real estate agent listed for the property is Peggy Moriarty, of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty, who can be reached at 631-692-6770.
