LuminoCity Festival, an interactive holiday light experience, is coming to Eisenhower Park starting Nov. 9.

The festival of “pure magic,” the theme for this year’s event, features large, colorful light installations, activities, and vendors. It is the fourth year of LuminoCity, which began in New York City in 2018, its second year on Long Island, and first time at the East Meadow park.

“We are overjoyed that we have this partnership collaboration in place with Nassau County to deliver the largest LuminoCity festival we have ever held to date,” said founder Xiaoyi Chen.

Last year, LuminoCity took place at Whitney Pond Park in Manhasset for its Long Island debut, partnering with the Town of North Hempstead for the ambitious holiday experience. This year the organizers are pleased to have scored a much larger venue for the ongoing family-friendly event in collaboration with Nassau County.

“I am excited to host our first-ever winter festival with LuminoCity in Nassau County’s Eisenhower Park this winter,” said Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. “I invite all of our residents to bring their family and friends to enjoy this incredible light and art spectacular. Nassau is back and open for business.”

Festival-goers will walk through several light-up, themed art installations, including Wildlife Safari, Dinosaur Adventures, Magic Kingdom, Alice’s Enchantment, Winter Wonderland, and Holidayland. There will also be entertainment, such as mini golf and dinosaur rides, and food vendors. The festival is set on more than 17 acres of the park.
