Nassau to Host “Madison Beer Day” Ceremony, Food Drive Nov. 23

To kick off the season of giving, Long Island popstar Madison Beer will visit Nassau Coliseum for a special ceremony free to those who bring a nonperishable food item to donate at Nassau Coliseum on Nov. 23.

Nassau County is partnering with Island Harvest and Long Island Cares to host the event, dubbed the “End Hunger Thanksgiving Celebration,” on the evening before Thanksgiving. The county will name Nov. 23 “Madison Beer Day” for the 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Jericho.

“I am excited to welcome Madison Beer back to Nassau County to celebrate her success and help those in our community who may be struggling with food insecurity,” said Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. “Madison has quickly become a role model for millions of young people across the United States and always finds time to give back.”

Beer released her debut major-label album last year and has quickly risen to high acclaim with hits such as “Selfish” and “Boyshit.” She has also been a brand ambassador for Fenty Beauty and Morphe Cosmetics, and has been featured in Vogue’s video series “Beauty Secrets.”

“I always look forward to coming home for the holidays,” says Madison Beer. “But it’s that much sweeter coming home for an event like this one that will help so many.”

Doors for the ceremony will open at 3:30 p.m., and the show begins at 5 p.m. For more information and to get tickets, visit nassaucountyny.gov.
