North Side School kindergarten through second grade students and their families came together to celebrate the joys of books and culture during the annual Bedtime Stories event. Organized by the PARP Committee and Multicultural Initiatives Committee, the event allowed readers to explore books that were meaningful to students’ cultures.
This year, the Bedtime Stories event featured members of the Multicultural Initiatives Committee as guest readers. Attendees expressed joy and gratitude for sharing books that were special to their families and cultures and enjoyed learning about new cultures. One community member was delighted to discover the concept of a mitzvah, while others were impressed by a student who read a book in Mandarin. Additionally, participants enjoyed learning basic Italian phrases, such as how to say colors.
