ACLD Foundation will honor Hossam Maksoud, PharmD, Chief Executive Officer of Community Care Rx, with locations in Plainview, NY and Totowa, NJ, at their 2024 Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 3 at Glen Head Country Club in Glen Head, NY.
Maksoud, of Manhasset, NY, is the chairman and founder of Community Care Rx, a unique long-term pharmacy that provides comprehensive pharmacy services to assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) residential facilities, and other long-term care providers. The company, which has more than 150 employees, provides pharmaceutical services throughout the tri-state area and beyond. With Maksoud at the helm, the organization has the expertise and dedication needed to create personalized experiences for different long-term care organizations and facilities.
In recent years, Maksoud established Orphan Pharmacy Services, which works with the entire healthcare ecosystem to connect patients who have chronic and rare conditions to medication, information, and financial assistance. The company bolstered its specialty pharmacy services with Maksoud’s and his team’s expertise in providing services to patients who have HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, rheumatic disease, osteoporosis, and other conditions.
