National Garden Week (June 2-8) is devoted to promoting the joy of gardening and the beauty it brings to our communities. In conjunction with National Garden Week, Munsey Park Garden Club suggested a display of gardening books to the Manhasset Public Library and donated a small geranium, grown from a cutting by one of its members, as well as an arrangement of fresh-cut flowers. The display is located next to the “seed library” in the reading café. Also during National Garden Week, the Club held its annual Spring luncheon at the home of one of its members, enjoying her spectacular gardens, a wonderful lunch and good company.
Munsey Park Garden Club welcomes new members from all of Manhasset and surrounding areas. Members enjoy monthly programs, which include visits to local gardens, guest speakers on gardening topics and floral design, hands-on floral workshops, and spring and holiday luncheons. The Club also welcomes those who are not active gardeners but enjoy visiting gardens and flower arranging. Those interested in joining may email munseyparkgardenclub@gmail.com and follow us on Instagram @munseyparkgardenclub.
