Summer is officially in session, which means SunriseWALKS Long Island was back this month with their annual fundraiser to support kids and families dealing with cancer.
On June 2, SunriseWALKS Long Island held their annual fundraising walk at Sunrise Day Camp Long Island, raising thousands to send children with cancer and their siblings to Sunrise Day Camp for some good, old-fashioned summer fun.
This year marks 19 years of both Sunrise Day Camp Long Island and the 19th annual SunriseWALKS fundraising walk and carnival.
SunriseWALKS Long Island, organized by the Sunrise Association, “empowers participants to provide children battling cancer with a priceless gift that will forever transform their lives: the joy and magic of summer,” according to the nonprofit organization.
