Center Moriches Teacher Arrested for DWI Hit-and-run

Tracey Forman

A Center Moriches School District teacher was arrested for allegedly driving while drunk and high after a hit-and-run crash Monday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Tracey Forman of Patchogue was driving a Hyundai when she crashed into a parked Plymouth Voyager at the corner of Brookfield Avenue and Wading River Road in Center Moriches at 8:30 a.m., then fled the scene, police said

The responding officer searched the area for a vehicle matching the description he obtained at the scene and found the 47-year-old suspect shortly later in the parking lot behind Center Moriches High School on Frowein Road, police said.

Forman was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol.

She will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
