Randy Blythe, the frontman of Lamb of God, one of the biggest metal bands in the world, could be in big trouble.
The singer was arrested in Prague yesterday in connection to the death of a concertgoer back in May of 2010.
While playing the Prague club Abaton, a scuffle broke out when a fan jumped on stage. The as-yet-unnamed fan got into a fight with Randy Blythe, was injured and died as a result of his injuries, according to www.thesun.co.uk. Authorities are now placing the blame on Blythe.
A statement released by local Prague police said, “We have arrested the singer and charged him with the crime of bodily harm of fourth degree and resulting death of a fan.”

Despite this statement, www.spin.com says that the bands representatives are insisting that no formal charges have yet been made and that the case is only in the investigation stages. In an earlier statement, representatives stated, “Randy Blythe was falsely accused. There is a team of lawyers working on it and he will be exonerated.”
While there is footage of the show itself, there appears to be no video evidence of the altercation between the fan and Blythe. Though, rumored by “those who know the band,” the fan might have been struck in the head with a microphone before being removed from the stage by security guards.
The pending investigation is said to be completed this weekend, after which Blythe’s camp will issue an official statement regarding the case and the charges. However, Lamb of God’s management did want to clear one false piece of information circulating. In a statement released today, management says, “Under no circumstances was there a fight of any kind involved. This incident deals with a fan that three times during the concert jumped the barricade and rushed Randy during the performance. It is alleged that the third time, security was not able to reach him and that Randy pushed him back into the audience where supposedly he fell and hit his head.”
The Richmond, VA band was forced to cancel their Prague’s Rock Café show after Blythe’s arrest.
