Mom Nabbed for DWI Crash With Son In Huntington

A Huntington Station woman was arrested early Sunday for driving while intoxicated with her son in the car after she crashed into a parked vehicle.

Sunday at around 12:15 a.m., a resident of Bayview Drive in Huntington called 911 when she observed a Nissan stopped in the road nearby that had struck a parked car with the driver slumped over in the front seat. Cops reportedly found that the driver, Yessica Campos-Gomez, was under the influence of alcohol and her 6-year-old son was in the backseat of the car at the time.

There were no injuries in the crash.

The 21-year-old, of Huntington Station, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Passenger 15-Years-Old or Younger, Leandra’s Law, Driving While Intoxicated and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
