Wyandanch Teen Shot Dead

A teenager was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in Wyandanch over Labor Day weekend, Suffolk County police said.

Malik Stoddart, 18, of Wyandanch, and a 19-year-old man were shot while standing with a group of people on Irving Avenue near the corner of Doe Street at 11:25 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

Stoddart was pronounced dead at the scene while the other teen was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
