East Norwich Woman Killed, Man Arrested

Nassau County police arrested a man for in connection with the death of a woman who investigators believe was a victim of a homicide in her East Norwich home over the weekend, authorities said.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a medical emergency at an apartment on Pine Hollow Road, where the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, police said.

A man in the apartment was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Homicide Squad detectives did not release the names of the suspect or the victim, but said they lived together. The investigation is continuing.
