Promotions 1

Thomas Whelan 

Justice Whelan was appointed supervising judge of the Suffolk County Supreme Court’s Civil Parts. Whelan has served as a distinguished member of the Supreme Court since 2001 and he is presently the most senior judge in Suffolk. In his 22-year tenure on the bench, Justice Whelan

has presided over countless trials and proceedings in the Supreme Court, which included terms of service in the court’s matrimonial, civil, complex commercial, and residential foreclosure parts.

Dr. Tatiana Ricketts

New York Health added Ricketts, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, to the practice in East Patchogue and Bay Shore. Dr. Ricketts completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. With a  passion for science and a dedication to serving and advocating for women, Dr. Ricketts chose the field of OB/GYN, recognizing the unique opportunity it offers to make a difference in women’s lives.

Gregg Marano

Marano, a Wealth Management Advisor for Merrill, a Bank of America company, has been promoted as the new Senior Resident Director at the Smithtown office. Prior to his promotion, Gregg Marano was the Long Island East Market Sales Manager, and a resident director at the Islip office. He was named to the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list in 2019 and 2023.

Catherine Vaughan

Vaughan joined the D&B Engineers and Architects HR Department as Human Resources Assistant in their Woodbury headquarters. Previously employed as a Recruiter at Velocity Resource Solutions. Vaughan received both her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and her Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resource Management from University of New Haven, AASCB in West Haven, Conn.

Francisco G. Martinez Ramirez

Ramirez joins the D&B Engineers and Architects Civil Division as Engineer I in their Woodbury, headquarters. Previously a Construction Supervisor at AGB Construction in Boston, MA, Mr. Martinez Ramirez received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic).

Rebekah Webb

Hicksville-based Mark Design Studios hired Webb as office administrator. She was previously Senior Administrative Assistant at Long Island Adolescent and Family Services, Inc. in Stony Brook.

Joseph Anthony Badolato

Badolato joins D&B Engineers and Architects as Environmental Scientist I in D&B’s Hazardous Waste Division at the firm’s Woodbury headquarters. Prior to D&B, he worked as a Construction Inspector at New York State Department of Transportation in Hauppauge.

Gow Manthachitra

Hicksville-based Mark Design Studios hired Manthachitra as project manager. She was previously Design/Project Manager at Knockout Renovation in New York City.
