Michael J. Tully Pool Reopens With a New Look and Name

Now North Hempstead Aquatic Activity Center

After many months of renovation, the Town of North Hempstead finally reopened the Michael J. Tully Pool on Saturday, Oct. 9 and renamed the entire complex the North Hempstead Aquatic Activity Center.

The pool is located off Denton Avenue on Evergreen Avenue, opposite New Hyde Park Memorial High School, and the renovation is just beautiful, now included is a water slide and many other beautiful features that surely makes it an aquatic activity center.

Numerous dignitaries were on hand for the grand opening ceremony as well as some children to “test the waters.”
