According to Suffolk County Police, Angelo Grimaldi, 43, of Selden was driving a 1970 Chevrolet on Bowdoin Road, when he apparently lost control and collided with a tree at 7:55 p.m. Saturday. The driver and his 45-year-old passenger, Kevin Demaille of Centereach, were transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center, where they died as a result of their injuries.
The investigation is continuing and the vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
