Get ready Gleeks, you are not going to be happy with this one!

Ryan Murphy told Ryan Seacrest that some of the “Glee” stars are entering their final year. That means goodbye to Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Corey Monteith, who will all graduate at the end of Season 3.

Murphy also shared the news with The Hollywood Reporter. He said, “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”

Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter, the show aims to be more realistic and that planning for the future beyond high school is not going to happen. He added, “More characters are leaving than are staying.”

According to Huffington Post, Murphy has aimed to add new stars to the show each year- The second season bringing breakout stars Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet and others.

During the interview with Ryan Seacrest, Murphy also talked about the show, “The Glee Project.” A competition television series where the winner gets a part on “Glee.”

He told Seacrest, “We didn’t just want to do a show that you’ve seen before. What I love about the show is literally somebody gets a career. They’re all these incredibly talented kids and we mentor them and they work on their singing, dancing, and acting. Then the winner of the show gets a 7 episode arc this fall on ‘Glee.'”
