Man Dies After Car Strikes Utility Pole

Nassau County police said Kenneth Polk was driving his Volvo on Norther Boulevard when he veered off the road and struck a utility pole near the corner of Glendale Drive and his car caught on fire at 4:15 a.m.

The man died at the scene. According to police, there was no criminality involved.
