Man killed after being ejected from motorcycle, passenger in critical condition.
According to Nassau County Police, on Saturday at 8:02 p.m., Ernest W. Kittel, 42, of Lindenhurst, was operating his Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Mill Road in Freeport. He had a 29-year-old female accompanying him on his rear seat. Kittel failed to negotiate a bend in the road and struck the curb line and a utility pole at the intersection of Buffalo Avenue. Kittel and his rear seated passenger were ejected from the motorcycle and onto the roadway.
