A giant whale shark was found dead in Pakistan this past week.

Mass amounts of people flocked to a Karachi harbor in Pakistan to view the giant 40-foot whale shark that was found dead Tuesday.

The whale was taken out of the water by Karachi fisheries after being found unconscious in the Arabian Sea about 10 days earlier, reported the Huffington Post.  It was lifted onto land using multiple cranes.

The massive whale shark was said to weigh between 6 and 7 tons, according to CBS.  The deceased shark was reportedly later sold for around $19,000.

The giant whale has been making headlines Tuesday and a video of the whale being lifted to land went viral on YouTube.

“Citizens of Karachi in large numbers flocked to Charai Fishery on Tuesday as a 40-foot long shark was found dead by the pier,” reads the YouTube caption.

It’s a site many don’t get to see in their lifetime, the world’s largest fish, one that is listed as a vulnerable species. Their decline is due in part to being hunted in parts of Asia.

The docile whale shark can be found swimming in tropical waters and according to National Geographic, they’re known to migrate every spring to the continental shelf of the central west coast of Australia.
