An Elmont man was arrested Saturday after becoming involved in a dispute with his neighbor.
According to police, at around 12:39 p.m., 22-year-old Cedric Cornick became involved in a dispute with a 44-year-old male neighbor. The neighbor and his 5-year-old son left the scene and returned a short time later. At this time, Cornick yelled across the street to get their attention and then lifted his shirt displaying a handgun in his waistband, cops say. The neighbor called police and after an investigation, Cornick was taken into custody. Police recovered a .36 caliber handgun and two imitation rifles from his home.
