Willston Park Woman DWI With Kid in Car, Cops Say

A Williston Park  women was arrested for drunken driving with a 1-year-old girl in the car on Saturday night, Nassau County police said.

Maria Hamilton, 37, was pulled over for swerving as she drove her car down Searingtown Road in North Hills when officers found her to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.

That’s when police said they found the toddler in the back seat of Hamilton’s car.

Hamilton was charged with driving while intoxicated as a felony under Leadndra’s Law, endangering the welfare of a child and traffic violations.

She will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
