Jessica Simpson has revealed her daughter, baby Maxwell Drew, to the world in the latest issue of People magazine.
The pictures of baby Maxwell reportedly cost the magazine $800,000. Simpson also gave People an interview where she explained that having a baby completely changed her life.
“From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!” she told the magazine. “We stare at her all the time,” she said. “We can’t get enough!”
Maxwell is not even a month old yet and she’s already had a photo shoot.
She was born on May 1 in Los Angeles weighing 9 lbs., 13 ounces, Us Weekly confirmed. Now we know why Jessica’s belly was so huge. Any child born over 8 lbs. is considered a big baby and little Maxi was almost 10 lbs.!
“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby Maxwell Drew Johnson 9 lbs. 13 oz. 21 3/4,” Simpson wrote on her website after Maxwell was born. “We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!”
Us Weekly quoted a source close to the couple as saying Maxwell got her middle name from her maternal grandmother, Tina Simpson. Drew is Tina’s maiden name. Pretty cute.
Jessica, 31, and Eric, 32, got hot and heavy quickly. They were only dating for six months before they announced they were engaged in November 2010.
The fast lovers had postponed setting a wedding date until Maxwell made her glorious arrival. Now that she’s here, we can expect to see a Simpson-Johnson wedding any day now!
However, Jess has never been in any real rush to officially tie the knot with her NFL beau. She told Jimmy Kimmel in March that Johnson “feels like my husband already.”
