Tanning Mom Goes Pale

Infamous tanning mom Patricia Krentcil made headlines earlier this year after she was accused of allowing 5-year-old daughter to use a tanning booth. Now, after a challenge by In Touch magazine to lay off the tanning for one month, the 44-year-old makes her tan-free debut.

In an exclusive photo shoot for the publication, Krentcil is a pale shadow of her former leathery skinned self. While she looks like a whole new woman in the best way possible, Krentcil still felt the need to tan.

“I’ve had moments where I’ve felt like, ‘I need to be tan.’ And I did all the spray tans and lotions and creams, too — anything to get dark,” Krentcil told the magazine.

While family and friends feel Krentcil looks much better when she’s less tan, she does not agree.

“I feel weird and pale,” she said, adding that, in the future, she will likely “squeeze a tan in here or there.” according to the Huffington Post.

Krentcil made national headlines after allegedly allowing her daughter to enter an artificial tanning booth, an accusation she strongly denies. She was charged with second-degree child endangerment.

Krentcil stated that while her daughter came into the room with her, she never once entered the tanning booth, proclaiming “She plays with her Barbie dolls while I tan.”

Despite the national backlash against her, Krentcil won’t deny the joy she gets from frying her skin to a dark, wrinkled brown, telling In Touch that she was “born to be tan.”

Krentcil was arrested back in May when officials at her daughters school reported that the kindergarten girl had a sever sunburn. Both Krentcil and the childs father, Rich Krentcil, denied any wrongdoing. Her case is still pending.

The complete story of Krentcil’s new pale look can be found in the latest issue of In Touch.
