Nassau County police Wednesday released a sketch of a man suspected of accosting a woman in Bethpage who described the harrowing ordeal to the Press last week.

The man is suspected of flashing the woman and grabbing her breasts after he had asked her for a lighter and a ride to friend’s house around 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 4. The victim, 45-year-old Eileen Scanlon Christofi, said she had just gotten off a Long Island Rail Road train from Penn Station when she noticed the man following her.

After she declined to give him a ride, the suspect flashed her, pushed his body against hers and then grabbed her chest. Christofi was able to fight off the suspect, who she said appeared to be high on drugs.

“There was no urgency in his walk,” she said.

The suspect is described as a while male with dark hair, bad teeth, a slim build, light complexion, brown eyes and is around 23-28 years old. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-224-TIPS. All calls are anonymous.

Crime Stoppers offers a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
