The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society’s annual Holiday Fair saw record breaking attendance as families gathered in every nook and cranny of the Sands-Willets House to enjoy good company, food, and arts and crafts.

Much needed funds were raised for the society’s historical residence/museums and educational programs, as well as the new “Apothecary Garden Project,” for which volunteers are welcome.

The new exhibit, “The Art of Quilting: Fibers, Fabric & Fashion,” was so successful that it will remain open for select weekends in January and February, the society said. After the fair the society donated leftover cookies, soup, poinsettias and wreaths to the Port Washington Senior Center.

The society also delivered 10 gallons of soup to Our Lady of Fatima’s soup kitchen. For upcoming events, check the website www.cowneck.org in early January.
