Dead Dog Found in Lobster Trap in Eaton’s Neck

A Pit Bull was stuffed into a lobster trap that was wired shut and weighed down with bricks in the Long Island Sound before it washed ashore in Eaton’s Neck, authorities said.

Suffolk County SPCA investigators said the discovery was made found on a beach along Old Winkle Point Drive on Tuesday evening.

The death of the dog, which was wearing a collar, is being investigated as a case of possible animal cruelty.
