The Furman Film Series presents Summer Shorts, a series of short films, at the Great Neck’s Bow Squire Cinemas, 115 Middle Neck Rd., on Thursday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Amongst the films, One Plastic Beach, tells the story of Richard and Judith Selby Lang who gathered plastic debris from Kehoe Beach in the Point Reyes National Sea Shore. With the gathered debris, they both fashioned together sculptures and art that have a unique story.

Screenings take place at Bow Tie Squire Cinemas, 115 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for subscribers and 7:15 p.m. for individual ticket holders. Tickets are $15 (students, $10). They cost $20 at the door.
