The 32nd annual Knickerbocker Cup gets underway with an opening ceremony and All-American BBQ on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m., at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club.
Racing begins Thursday morning, Aug. 28, and continues through Aug. 31.
On Saturday, Aug. 30, William and Joan Brakman, Jr., will be the honorees of the third annual Heart and Sail Gala. The gala will begin with cocktails at 7 p.m., with dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions to follow. Among those attending the gala will be the 50 sailors of the 10 Knickerbocker Cup participating teams from eight countries.
