On July 17, 38-year-old Jakub Jankowski of Ridgewood and 35-year-old Ider Cortez of Jackson Heights were charged with shoplifting from the Jericho Home Depot.

On July 18, non-human intestines washed up on the bay side of Tobay Beach at 12:46 p.m. The beach was reopened with no restrictions after an initial evacuation.
