German Genealogy Group

Sometimes when researching family history, it becomes evident what we think we know to be true is, in fact, not true. What resources and research techniques can be used to prove or disprove “facts?” How do we reconcile what we find with what we have been told? Professional genealogist, Debra Braverman, will present a variety of case studies to illustrate the process of evaluating and reconciling family stories and research findings. Braverman is a forensic genealogist, specializing in research for probate and intestacy, and in 19th and 20th century NYC research. This group meets at William M. Gouse Jr. VFW Post 3211, 320 S. Broadway in Hicksville from 7 to 9:30 p.m. For more information visit  www.germangenealogygroup.com
