During the week of Halloween, Hicksville High School transformed its entire first floor into a spectacular display featuring spooky haunts and fall festivities for Safe Halloween.
Safe Halloween was held for the first time and was open for students of all ages to attend. Parents brought their children, who were dressed in costumes, for a stroll through the school’s haunted hallways and classrooms featuring Halloween-themed activities.
Various high school clubs spent hours decorating the classrooms and hallways. In the main lobby, haystacks were set up with spotlights, and free professional pictures were taken to capture the wonderful memories. Students and staff members who were dressed as monsters paced the hallways to hand out candy, and those who were brave enough were encouraged to walk through the spider-web-filled haunted house.
In one classroom, cupcakes and desserts were served, and parents and children teamed up to make more. Another classroom featured games and spooky prizes were awarded. The event was a spooktacular success.
