A man was found shot dead at a gas station in Jericho last week, cops said.
According to authorities, a customer entered the BP Gas Station at 39 Jericho Tpke. and saw the male attendant Hany Awad, of Levittown, laying on the floor behind the counter. Cops arrived and found the 56-year-old dead with a gunshot wound to the torso. He was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. Inspector Kenneth Lack, Commanding Officer of the Nassau County Police Department’s public information office, said the department is looking into a possible connection to two other armed robberies at BP gas stations in New Hyde Park and Thomaston. There were no reported injuries in those two incidents.
“We are running ballistics tests to see if there is a match in the three cases,” said Lack. “We’re still investigating.”
