PWGreen, a local volunteer organization, held its first fundraiser at Finn MacCool’s Restaurant to further its efforts to protect natural areas, promote eco-friendly living and provide environmental education.
Members of the community participated in auctions of products and services donated by local merchants, had food and drink and met members of the board of directors. They also learned more about PWGreen’s
accomplishments over the last 12 years, and its plans for the future. The donations helped raise money needed to expand educational programs and continue to preserve the wild, natural places in Port Washington.
