Marilyn Hoffman, grand prize winner of the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District’s Small Business Saturday Shopping Spree Scavenger Hunt, received $2,500 in prize money. She spent a portion of her winnings at clothing boutique Adele Kauff on Bond Street and shared the balance of her prize winnings with friends Roberta Lulov and Nicole Ledbury. Lulov and Ledbury plan to spend their winnings at Gelber & Mundy Jewelry Store.
“I am so happy that Marilyn won the scavenger hunt,” said Richard Kauff, owner of Adele Kauff. “She has been a loyal customer. I am glad she has this opportunity to treat herself to some wonderful new clothes.”
Adele Kauff, opened in 1957 by Richard’s mother Adele, is one of Great Neck Plaza’s signature boutiques that has helped the shopping district earn its reputation as the premiere shopping district on Long Island’s North Shore. Offering hand-picked collections from top designers in Paris, Milan and New York, Adele Kauff specializes in the highest quality fabrics and accessories. The small staff and intimate store setting provides customers with a welcoming and personalized shopping experience.
The BID’s first ever Shopping Spree Scavenger Hunt was conducted in celebration of American Express’ Shop Small Business Saturday. Scavenger hunt winners could spend their winnings at any of the local businesses in Great Neck Plaza’s downtown shopping district. The contest offered incentives for local residents and shoppers to explore all that the village’s downtown shopping district has to offer.
The Great Neck Plaza BID’s mission is to foster and promote a positive and vital business community through various initiatives, including consumer awareness programs, media/advertising campaigns and sponsorship of events. Log onto www.shopgreatneck
