Shavit To Speak At Temple Sinai

On Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m., Ari Shavit, internationally acclaimed Israeli columnist and author of My Promised Land, will speak at Temple Sinai of Roslyn.Ari _040115A copy

The talk is sponsored by both Temple Sinai and AIPAC. Shavit’s New York Times bestselling nonfiction work, described by literary critics as one of the ten best books of 2014, is perceived as a must read book for anyone interested in Israel, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Middle East.

“Ari Shavit is a compelling speaker and sophisticated thinker,” said Rabbi Michael White. “His talk will focus on Israel’s current dilemmas and help us understand them. With such daunting challenges facing Israel, Ari Shavit’s visit could not be more timely.”
