Mineola Cub Scout Pack 246 visited the Mineola American at its Anton Media Group office at 132 E. Second St. on Friday, May 22. Scouts Gavin McLaughlin, Tyler Mercado, Michael Lampasona and Jimmy Powers learned about the process of producing newspapers and asked a slew of questions.
They met the designers, editors and reporters during their trip. Scouts capped off the visit with a tour of the company’s archive room, which holds newspapers from its 18 publications, with some dating back to the late 1800s.
