Sixteen senior citizens celebrated their birthdays on July 9 at the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center. Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton and her youngest daughter, Arianna, helped the summer birthday babies celebrate their special days.
Arianna DeRiggi-Whitton gave each birthday baby a long-stem red rose, then held the microphone for each senior to share their secret to a long, happy life. Some of the comments were “keep busy,” “stay positive,” “get regular exercise” and even, “drink scotch!”
