Back In The Day: 1980

On May 13, 1980, the Mineola American reported voters of the Mineola School District rejected a budget by a 1,632 to 508 margin. The board adopted an austerity budget that was $400,000 less than the budget that was voted on. The Mustang Activities Coalition was formed to raise money for extra-curricular activities.
