Costa Nova Waffle, a Portuguese sweet-treat shop, opened for business on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 211 Second St. in Mineola. The charming and cozy eatery was the scene of local passersby and area workforce clamoring to grab an on-the-go slice of a small beach community in Portugal. Costa Nova was a hot-ticket item at the Mineola Street Fair in September.
