School District’s Winter Coat Drive

COATS 620x400 e1445370009483 1024x930 1Many people in our community are unable to afford winter clothing and blankets for themselves and their families, but you can help.

The Port Washington’s Parent Council is collecting winter coats, jackets, sweaters, hats, scarves, boots and gloves of all sizes, as well as blankets to distribute to adults and children in need in Port Washington. All donations must be clean and in good condition.

Bring donations to any school Monday, Nov. 2, to Friday, Nov. 6. There will be collection boxes in the lobby of each school.

Items can also be dropped off at Manorhaven Pool from Nov. 2 to Nov. 7.

The clothing will be distributed from the lobby of Manorhaven Pool:

Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. (only those with tickets will be admitted; tickets will be provided by the schools to all families)

Friday, Nov. 6, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. (only those with tickets will be admitted; tickets will be provided by the schools to all families)

Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon (open to the general public)
