The Mineola Junior Fire Department took an overnight trip to Connecticut where they visited Lake Compounce Amusement Park they went through a graveyard walk which was close to 45 minutes of haunted scenes ghosts and other creatures jumping out at you. Plus there was plenty of special effects. They stayed at a real nice hotel with a indoor swimming pool.
Juniors rode a scenic train and viewed the beautiful fall foliage. At the railroad station, they gave apple cider and donuts. On the train route, they stopped at a pumpkin patch where everyone was given a free pumpkin.
