Nassau County and the Greater Long Island Running Club announced that they will be collaborating on “Run Smart”, a special training program for runners of all ages and levels of ability.

“Run Smart” training sessions will be held on 12 weekend mornings (some on Saturday, others on Sunday) during January, February, March and April at various Nassau County parks, including Eisenhower Park, Cedar Creek Park and the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. The first session will be at Eisenhower Park.  There will be a special orientation at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration on Thursday evening, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.

The program will be directed by Greater Long Island Running Club coaches Debbie Blair and Bob Cook of the Runner’s Edge. Dr. Steve Jonas and Dr. Holly Jonas of Jonas Chiropractic will once again serve as the Program’s Directors of injury prevention and race recovery.

The entire cost of the entire 12-week program is only a total of $30.
