The Webelos of Den no. 1 and Den no. 2 of Pack 776 recently took a “suburban” three-mile hike to earn their Webelos Walkabout adventure pin.
The fourth graders visited eight of the numerous monuments in the Village of Massapequa Park, learned a bit of history along the way, placed a flag and rose in recognition of the honored, and cleared all debris from the sites as their hike service project.
The Cubs ended their afternoon enjoying a picnic lunch and viewing the majesty of the peak of fall color in the preserve.
