New eatery to donate proceeds to Island Harvest
Just Falafel, a fast casual eatery featuring authentic street food that recently opened in Carle Place, will hold its grand opening on Dec. 12. To celebrate, the eatery will be donating 100 percent of their proceeds that day to Island Harvest, the largest hunger relief organization on Long Island.
“During our Grand Opening, for every meal sold, Just Falafel will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to Island Harvest,” said Jim Joy, CEO of Just Green Foods. “What better way to kick off the holiday season than to help feed families on Long Island. We look forward to supporting this great organization now and in the future.”

Just Falafel sells traditional falafel meals and other favorites including chicken shawarma and all beef Halal gyro. Falafel is 100 percent chickpea and is considered to be the world’s oldest street food. The choice is yours to enjoy the traditional recipes, or build your own wrap or platter from our many choices of fillings, toppings, sauces and locally baked pita bread.
“You can taste the freshness with each hand-made customized Mediterranean meal we make. Our exotic spices and fresh herbs help you discover the great tastes of a whole new world” added Faisal Alsaud of Just Green Foods, a Just Falafel Franchisee. Alsaud discovered the brand in Dubai and brought it here to New York. This is the second Just Falafel restaurant for Just Green Foods, with the other located in Paramus, NJ.
Just Falafel is at 111 Old Country Rd. in the Country Glen Center in Carle Place.
Established in 2007, Just Falafel is on a global mission to humbly “redefine street food”. Just Falafel promises their guests to deliver authentic street food with the goodness of old-world flavors. For more information, visit http://www.justfalafel.com or www.justgreen.com.
