Prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, students throughout each of the elementary schools in the Plainedge School District cooked and held feasts.
At Eastplain Elementary School, kindergartners in Christine Colvin’s class prepped their mashed potatoes, stuffing, cornbread and apple turnovers in advance of their celebration. Dressed in the role of pilgrims and Native American Indians, the students finished mixing and mashing their foods and parent volunteers took the items home to bake for the next day’s feast.
