Reminder: Village of Floral Park parking permit users…all parking permits expire on Dec. 31, 2015. Village hall hours will be extended to accommodate permit buyers on Monday, Dec. 21, and Monday, Dec. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Regular village hall hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Village hall hours on Thursdays, Dec. 24, and Dec. 31, are from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The Village of Stewart Manor is supporting the Toys For Tots campaign. Bring new, unwrapped toys to the village hall, 120 Covert Ave. until Wednesday, Dec. 9. Toys will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps campaign in Garden City.
Bellerose-Floral Park Homemakers Council of Nassau County will hold its Christmas Luncheon on Dec. 9 at noon at Hempstead Country Club. Cost is $45 per person. Call Nancy at 631-651-2740 for information.

Friday, Dec. 11

The Floral Park Knights of Columbus and the Hance Family Foundation will host a Christmas Blood Drive on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory (OLV) Memorial Hall, 2 Bellmore St. Call Joe Pelletiere at 516-328-0637 for information and an appointment spot.

Tuesday, Dec. 15
The Floral Park board of trustees will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m. on the second floor of the village hall, 1 Floral Blvd.
St. Thomas Episcopal Church will host a winter wine glass painting night on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at 6 Commonwealth Blvd. in Bellerose. Irene Marchese will instruct a one-stroke method for the glass painting. Cost is $35 per person and includes refreshments and four glasses to paint. The Floral Park Recreation Center tree lighting will be held on Friday, Dec. 18. Skating begins at 7 p.m., tree lighting at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments and a visit from Santa and his elves.
The Hance Family Foundation will hold its annual toy drive through Dec. 18. Bring new, unwrapped, gender-neutral toys for children of all ages to the Floral Park Village Hall collection box.
The Bellerose Village Junior Women’s Club will hold its holiday party on Friday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at village hall, 50 Superior Rd.
