The Joseph C. Zoller Memorial Fund held a dinner party at Finn Mac Cool’s in Port Washington to thank all the volunteers who contributed to making the 11th Annual Golf Classic at Sands Point Golf Club such a success. A check for $33,000 was presented to Roger J. Van Allen, director of Development for Professional Schools at Fordham University. This brings the total contribution of this foundation to a half-million dollars. It supports the scholarship fund established in Joe’s name at Fordham’s Graduate School of Education. Roger praised the hard work of all the volunteers and said the fund is helping to further the education of young people who want to become teachers. To date, there have been nine recipients.
