At this time of year when everyone is celebrating the holidays with family and friends, the Lions Club of Great Neck helps make the holidays more joyous for those of modest means. In the past, the Lions Club had purchased gift cards from Waldbaum’s and presented them to St. Aloysius and CLASP (Center for Law and Social Policy), which gave them to their needy members. With the recent closing of Waldbaum’s, this year they presented cash gifts. The Lions Club was delighted to have Stacey and Arpi, the directors of CLASP, and Bertha and Father Tafel of St. Al’s join them at their meeting, where they were presented with the gifts. The Lions Club knows that these gifts will help families have a wonderful holiday season.
