Eighty of the Mineola School District’s student-musicians competed in the New York State Field Band Championship recently. The marching band, which worked on their show “Haunted” since the beginning of May, had another very successful season.
Under the direction of Frank Mauriello, the Mustangs scored their highest in history at the NYSFBC. In their final competition of the season at the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University, they scored an 89.25, rendering them a final standing of second place in their statewide division.
